Viola Bellmond 1939 - 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Viola Shirley Grace Bellmond (Lane). Loving mother of Teresa Lane Milne, Tracey Lane Devlin and Dean Lane, grandmother of 12. She sadly lost her battle against lung cancer on January 14, 2010 in Squamish, BC.
Viola was born November 2, 1939, to William and Christine Bellmond, in Williams Lake, BC where she grew up as the 13th of 15 children. Raised in Williams Lake, she in later years returned to raise her own family as well.
Viola was a long standing member of the community, involved as the Williams Lake Girl Guide Commissioner, Job’s Daughters Bethel Support, and a strong spiritual presence amongst her family and friends. She resided in Squamish since 2003.
A strong and virtuous woman who tended her home with joy, treasured her friends and devoted her life to her family with unconditional love.
You will be missed by all and forgotten by none. We love you Moma.
