Vincenzo Ciprani (Vince, Vinny) was born May 10, 1941 in Anagni, Frosinone Italy. He died on September 29, 2008 at an early age of 68.
Vince moved to Williams Lake in 1970 at the age of 29. He worked for the Noranda Mine for 6 months then continued his career, which he had left in Italy, as a bricklayer and construction worker for 16 years. He continued doing that all his life while working full-time at Weldwood Plywood Plant for 23 years until retirement.
Vince is survived by his wife Maria, daughter Tiziana (Kevin Shaw); 2 sons: Tony (Carson Schifforn), and Roberto. Also 3 grandchildren Miranda (Steven Delainey), Darian and Dominick. He also left behind big sister Teresa Bellizia and family: 2 nieces Stefanie and Rita (Justin Watson), nephew Justin, niece Arianna; older brother Pepe (Anna) and family: niece Maria-Antonietta, 2 nephews Christian and Alexandro, and baby sister Anna (Salvatore Bruni) and family: nephew Marco, niece Katia. He leaves behind many more friends and family in Italy and in Canada.
A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, October 3, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (450 Pigeon Avenue) at 3:00 pm with Celebrant Father Andrew. There will be a visitation and viewing from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Compassionate Care Funerals, 180 Comer Street.
Vince’s family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that helped out their father and husband. A special thank you to Dr. York for going out of his way. Thank you also to the Cancer Society for all the help they gave.
