Verla Florence Atchison (nee McDonald)

October 30, 1940 - September 7, 2022
With sad hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Verla Florence Atchison (nee McDonald).
Verla is survived by her daughters Tracey (Scott) and Lana (Ingo), granddaughters Lauren (Colton), Tara (Kevin) and Madison (Sheldon) and great granddaughter Blair along with many extended family.
Born in Neepawa, MB, Mom spent her high school years in Penticton before arriving in Williams Lake in 1959 to visit her mother & sister. She never left. Mom was always proud to say "I'm from the Cariboo".
Initially working for the Bank of Montreal, she spent the majority of her working days at School District 27. Being there for her multiple generations of girls was always a priority. Her social networks and volunteer commitments seemed endless. Cooking for everyone who needed a meal was a passion.
Celebration of Life to take place September 24 @ 11:30 am at the Longhouse. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hough Memorial Cancer Fund Society.
