The family of Vanette Louise Crandall is saddened to announce her sudden passing on January 6, 2017 in Kelowna B.C.

Vanette was born April 23, 1941 in Tacoma, Washington. Vanette and Stan moved with their family to Williams Lake in 1965, where she became a driving force as president of minor hockey, figure skating club, and later a pioneer and president of the Williams Lake Mustangs Hockey Club. An active community member, you could always find Mrs. C scorekeeping at the ball field or the rink, cheering at hockey games, driving 9th Ave. taxi service, playing bingo, and spending time with her grandkids. She did her job, and did it well.

Vanette is survived by her husband Stan, their children Ken (Darlene), Wes, Jeff (Yvette Vandeweghe), and Kelly (Doyle) Flaherty. Her grandchildren Jeremy Crandall (Brittney Buhler), Jenna Crandall, Holly (Aaron) Zurak, Erin (Patrick) Beaudry, Melissa Bowman, Travis Flaherty and Darcy Flaherty. As well as great-grandchildren Quinn and Emersyn Beaudry, and Olivia and Mila Zurak. She is additionally survived by sisters Coralie (Ozzie) Rose and Peggy Lusk as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join the family any time between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on Saturday, January 14th at the Cariboo Memorial Complex in the Gibraltar Room to share stories and memories.
