In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness the family of Steve Chan announce his sudden passing at St. Paul's hospital on March 28 with his children by his side.
Steve is the seventh child of the 25th generation in the Chan family. He arrived in Canada when he was 14 years old.
He fell in love with Mary Anne Comeau of St. John's New Brunswick and married in 1966. Steve and his young family moved to Toronto and then found their roots in Williams Lake, BC.
Steve is survived by his children (and their spouses) Dave (Lani), Jamie (Cheryl), Kim (Eric) and Leigha (Kurt); his 8 grandchildren: Steven, Kristin, Cavan, Austin, Jayden, Evi, Taylor, Sara; and great grandson Benjamin. He was also a revered godfather to Cici and Fei Fei.
Steve called Vancouver's Chinatown his home for more than 10 years. He loved living in the historic Asian community that is reknown for its culture, traditions, and language.
Steve will be remembered for his enviable social media skills, humour, perpetual, youthfulness, generosity and his serene disposition.
Steve will be greatly missed by all.
We miss and love you Dad.
