Sonja Fasoli

June 20, 2016

Sonja Anna Fasoli was born to Fernando Fasoli and Olga Viertl in Bregenz, Austria where she spent her early childhood years. At the age of six, she moved to Switzerland and eventually on to Williams Lake, British Columbia where she gave birth to her two sons, Thomas and Phillip Upton.

In 1991, Sonja and her family relocated to Victoria, British Columbia where she lived for 25 years. Sonja was a caring mother and an active member in the communities in which she lived.

Having first owned a hair salon in Williams Lake, Sonja continued to carry out her passion as a hair stylist in Victoria. Sonja’s appreciation for her loyal clients was

evident, she truly enjoyed going to work every day. Sonja was passionate about travel and was always found smiling.

She was warm, welcoming and open to talking to anyone. A dance enthusiast, a German Business Club member, an avid skier and swimmer, Sonja kept herself busy with social activities. She was an animal lover, enjoying long walks with her faithful German Shepard, Niko, and cuddling up on the couch with her devoted cat, Moka.

It is with great sadness that we announce that on June 20, 2016, this fun-loving, spirited individual lost her courageous battle with breast cancer. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Sonja to the Jubilee Hospice.
