Sigridur “Laura” Mallinson was born in Kandahar, Sask. to “Siggi” and “Sveina” Gudnason on December 11, 1919. She passed away on November 2, 2011.
Laura lived a long and eventful life with more than her share of sorrow & hardship and still felt that she’d had a good life. She thoroughly appreciated
all her people.
Laura is missed by her children Linda (Brian) Goodrich, Doug Jonsson, Ken Jonsson and Dennis (Darlus) Jonsson; daughter-in-law Amy Sandy; grandchildren David, Carl (Nancy), Karen Goodrich, Storme (Dave) Sandy, Kelsi (Jake) Jonsson Martens and Dylan Jonsson; great grandchildren Colby, Rainbow, Paris, Lily, Owen and Mathias; stepdaughters Beryl and Janice.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Hjalti and Carl, husbands “Halli” Jonsson and Robert Mallinson and son David.
The family gives warm thanks to the Williams Lake Seniors Village for the love, respect and care that they gave our Mother during the past six years that she lived in Williams Lake. Also a special thank you to C. C. Hospice Palliative Care Society.
There will be no funeral at her request.
