It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Williston on August 25, 2019 in Kamloops, B.C. after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Duncan, B.C. Sharon and husband Jack moved to Williams Lake in 1959. It was here they raised their two sons and made life long friendships. Sharon was an avid ball player and enjoyed the outdoors. She and Jack spent many weekends camping and fishing with friends at Quesnel Lake.
Sharon worked most of her working career for Cariboo Press a job she both loved and took great pride in.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jack, brother David, mother Joan and father Charles.
Family was extremely important to Sharon and she will be greatly missed by sons Mike (Loreen) and Norm (Sonja), 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, sisters Kay (Tom) Mawson, Sandy (Willie) McFadden, Lois (Tom) Gagnon and brother Bryant (Sally) Gaddes, sister-in-law Sue Williston and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
As per Sharon's wishes there will be no service held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sharon's honour to the Majorie Snowden Hospice, Kamloops, B.C.
Sharon was such a classy lady and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
