Shannon Nicole (Rowat-Hopkins) Wedel was born on April 12th, 1969, the fifth child born to her loving family, Jack and Marg Rowat and their children Jacquie, Gordon, Roberta and Ryan.
She was full of life and loved to play outside as a child, riding dirt bikes and playing baseball with her older siblings.
In school, Shannon made many friends across many different social circles and never forgot a face or name. She could tell you 20 years later when she ran into an old friend at the grocery store all about their life and a funny story about them together.
Shannon was ambitious and always had amazing business ideas, often thinking of trends before they happened. She was a talented interior designer, always ready to help you redesign your kitchen or bathroom.
Nothing brought Shannon more joy than becoming a Wife and Mother. She cherished each and every one of her four children, and three grandchildren.
Shannon fought hard for life, and after a long battle with breast cancer passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
She will be greatly missed by those she left behind. Her Mother Marg, Husband Brucks, Siblings Gord (Nadine) & Ryan (Teri) and Caroline, Children Roberta (Lyndon), Elizabeth, Ascher and Wilson, and Grandchildren Talia, Jack and Bowen. Preceded in death, Her Father Jack, Sisters Jacquie and Roberta and Husband Dale.
