Sebastiano “Sam” Graziano

Sebastiano (Sam) Graziano

January 15, 1961 – October 4, 2017

Sam passed away at home in Williams Lake, BC on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Sam was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and as a boy he enjoyed his mother’s Italian cooking, playing street hockey and the city life as a youngster. As an adult, he loved his family, many friends, cooking, working hard and, of course, his locks flowing in the wind on one of the many Harleys he owned over the years. With grandchildren he found immense joy.

Sam moved from Ontario to British Columbia in the early 80’s and worked in the Oil and Gas sector until he started a family and wanted to be close to home. He joined the workforce with the City of Williams Lake and ran equipment, maintained countless parks, and was part of Communities in Bloom. Sam took pride in his work, and his colleagues at the Works Yard were like a second family.

Sam lived his life with passion and a smile in his eyes.

He will be missed by his loving spouse Angela Ammann, his two daughters Desirae (Rick) and Anna-Dee (Chris), his four precious grandchildren, Anjolie, Dane, Silas and Ryder, his two sisters, Mary and Michelle (their families), his mother, Anna, as well as the close friends he made over the years.

Sam was predeceased by his father, Raffaele.

A Celebration for Sam will be held after a Memorial Ride on June 2, 2018 at the Northwoods Lodge, just outside of Lac La Hache (ride @ 10am from Williams Lake, kind words @ 2 pm, followed by sharing memories over an evening BBQ).

Everyone is welcome, with accommodations available through Northwoods Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
