It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruby I. Sootheran, age 93, on Friday February 15, 2019 in Williams Lake, B.C.
Wife of the late John (Don) Sootheran, Ruby was known as a very compassionate, adventurous, and loving person who always had a smile to share with family and friends. She was a former school teacher born on September 12, 1925 in Loverna, Saskatchewan to Neil and Stella Kirkbride.
She will be remembered by sons Kirk (Joanna), Mike (Nancy), David (Gail); granddaughters Jamie (Sean), Lisa (Devin), Jay (Curtis), and Leah; great grandchildren Chloe, Kylie, Reese, Avery, Emmett, and Marra; siblings Glenn, Neil, and Martha; and many other family and friends. She is pre-deceased by sisters June and Hope.
In place of a service Ruby would like us to remember her in our own way. Donations to the Salvation Army or the Covenant House as expressions of sympathy would be appreciated.
We would like to thank Dr. Fedor, the nurses of CMH and the staff of Seniors Village for their care and compassion given to Ruby.
