Bob was born October 13, 1941, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Helena and Jacob Friesen. The youngest of three sons, Bob's family moved to British Columbia when he was three years old. He grew up in the Fraser Valley and at the age of 16 moved to Williams Lake. His intention on arriving in Williams Lake was to make a million and move back to the Fraser Valley. He retired back to the coast in 2001.
In 1966 Bob met the love of his life, Inez McKague, and they married October 7, 1967. They had two sons: Brent and Kevin.
A kind and hard-working man, Bob built the three homes that he and Inez raised their sons in. He was well liked and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Inez, sons Brent (Renee), Kevin (Carla) and four grandsons Tristan, Noah, Nathaniel, Niklaus, Alan's three children, Randy, Barb, and Deb, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers.
Bob had a long struggle with Alzheimer's. There will be no service as per Bob's wishes.
His spirit and love will
