In Loving Memory ~
With great sadness, but also with great joy that his journey here on earth has come peacefully to an end, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) McIntosh.
Successful in meeting his determined goal to pass away in his own home, with his wife Penny by his side, Bob went to be with God in the early hours of January 31st, 2023.
Bob was born on September 5th, 1942 in Vancouver, B.C.
He is survived by his wife, Penny, his three sons Stuart (Darlene, Cameron and Angus), Andrew (pre-deceased by Sylvia, Darian, Emily, Elora, Sierra and Logan), Callum (Lacey, Spencer and Tate) all of whom he loved and was loved by, very much.
Bob began his career with the Royal Canadian Navy, followed by a long career in law enforcement, serving with the Vancouver and Matsqui Police Departments before joining the RCMP, with his last posting as the Detachment Commander for the RCMP in Williams Lake from 1997 to 2001.
Bob and Penny made Williams Lake their home for the past twenty-five years. Bob believed strongly in building a caring community and poured his heart and soul into Rotary, Big Brothers, Hough Memorial and Citizens on Patrol, amongst other endeavours.
The family would especially like to thank Dr. LaBossiere and Dr. Harmse and their staff for their compassion and caring in making Bob's transition as peaceful as possible.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in Williams Lake, at a later date, when family and friends can more easily travel.
If you wish to commemorate Bob's passing, donations are welcome to any of the associations that Bob believed in, or to one that is equally as important to you.
