May 14, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Anderson on May 14, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; brothers, Emmett and Allan; his three sons, Robin, Lenard and Jamie and their spouses; his grandchildren, Jaykob, Jaxon, Riley, Miranda, Colton and Jaymie, and many loving nieces and nephews. Robert is pre- deceased by his three sisters Loretta, Shirley and Yvonne.
Robert and Margaret moved from Revelstoke BC to the Cariboo in 1965 and lived in 150 Mile House and Williams Lake where Robert worked as a logger for over 40 years. Robert, or "Bob" as many of his friends or co-workers called him, was revered by many as one of the best equipment operators in the industry and was the epitome of hard work. He was never late, and if you worked with him or for him you found out quickly you better be on time. There was no mistaking Robert flying down the bush road with a cigarette happily wagging from his top lip as he called out the miles on the radio. Robert retired at 65 and he and Margaret moved to beautiful Penticton BC.
Robert will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him. A very special thank you to the staff at Haven Hill Retirement Centre for their care and compassion during Roberts final days.
