January 5, 1937 - June 2, 2019
Paddy Gunderson passed away at the Vernon Hospital Care Unit in Vernon, B.C. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the age of 82 years. Paddy and his twin brother Duffy (Donald) were born on January 5, 1937 at the Primrose, Alberta post office; due to a blizzard and temperatures of -40 preventing them from getting to the nearest hospital. The post office scale weighed them in at approximately 2 ó lbs each. With no incubators, they were put in shoe boxes and kept warm on the door of the oven of the wood stove.
Paddy was predeceased by his parents, Dan Gunderson and Laura (Wigs) Gunderson as well as brother Duffy, sister Shirley Roberts, and grandchildren Brandon Dickie (Gunderson) and Taya Durand.
Paddy will be greatly missed by his wife Heather, her daughters; Rochelle and Candace, Paddy's daughter Laurie (Leo) Delisle, Dwayne "Mate", Paddy's son, their mother Judy and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, neighbors and friends.
Paddy was involved in many various business ventures over the years; from logging to the hospitality business, but his passion was flying his Cessna 180 float plane. He got the greatest enjoyment from flying family, friends and
neighbors over the Cariboo with his co-pilot, Charlie.
June 15, 2019 there will be a Grave Side Burial Service at 11 am. in the Williams Lake Cemetery. Pastor John Nicholson officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Laughing Loon Private Patio @ 12:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.
