July 2, 1939 - May 19, 2021
Our family is sad to announce that we lost this precious man to cancer on May 19th. He passed away at home surrounded by loved ones.
Bud was born in Killam, Alberta July 2, 1939, one of 9 children. He moved to BC in 1957 where he began an interesting career in many trades - saw milling, underground miner and blaster, bartender, truck driver, logging company owner, road builder, rancher, commercial greenhouse owner and for fun he was a champion sled dog musher, race horse owner and draft horse teamster. He did it all and with pride!
Bud and his wife Sandy met in Barkerville, married in 1964 and settled in the Cariboo. He leaves behind children Kim (Roly), Geoff (Kristen), Buddy (Monica) and Julie Ann. Grandchildren Codee, Raylea, Taylor, Bailey (Ruth), Kelli, Annie, Liam along with great-granddaughters Ivy & Molly and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Darold, Raymond and niece Autumn.
Bud cherished his family and was a generous caring friend to so many. You could count on him to make you smile and laugh. He was a special man with a big heart. We will miss you so much, Rest In Peace.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
