Nora Geraldine Robison (nee McDonald)
July 2, 1933 – July 5, 2011
It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we say goodbye to Nora who lost her struggle with lung disease. Nora, who along with husband Clarence, was a long time resident of the 100 Mile area and was well known in the community.
Nora is survived by her husband Clarence, stepmother Mildred, brothers Herb (Marlene), Bill, David (Pat), Don (Anita), daughters Lynn (Erik), Colleen (Larry), Nancy (Jeff), daughter-in-law Ruth, sons Rick, Charlie, Andrew, numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and other loving family. She was predeceased by her mother Fay, father Joe, sister Bonnie (John), brother Bob, daughter Susan, son Ralph, granddaughter Sara and grandson David.
Nora will be remembered for her strong sense of community and her love for family and friends. She was a strong member of the local Seventh-day Adventist Church and a tireless helper of the less fortunate through organizations such as Loaves and Fishes. She will also be remembered as the baker of the best ever cinnamon buns and cakes.
Nora’s last few months were spent at the 100 Mile Hospital and Palliative Care Unit at Fischer Place. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nicolson, for his attentive care, and to the wonderful staff and Hospice volunteers. You were angels to her and her family.
A Service for Nora will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 17th at the 100 Mile House Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5489 Saunders Crescent, 103 Mile.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the 100 Mile District Hospice and Palliative Care Society, Loaves and Fishes, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
