Mildred Dean, a long time resident of the Williams Lake area, passed away on January 30th, 2011 at her home in Midway, Utah where she lived for the last ten years of her life. Mildred was a botanist, a nurse, a wife, a mother to three sons, grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She worked at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital for 20

years and was a rancher alongside her husband

(William Dean) in the Miocene area. Many will

remember her for her kindness and loving nature

and for her wisdom and the acceptance that she taught

everyday.

She will be forever loved and remembered by those she touched with her life’s purpose to love. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects to Mildred Dean is encouraged to remember her when they pass by their favorite fl owers or when they plant their garden this spring. Mildred was in constant awe of nature and until the day she died she talked of one last wish, to walk barefoot on the mossy forest beds in the hills of the Cariboo, picking berries.
