We are sad to announce the passing of Mildred Wheeler of Williams Lake and 140 Mile House on February 3, 2010 of kidney failure. Millie was born February 22, 1929 in Peterborough, Ontario one of three daughters in a large family.
Surviving Millie is her husband Bill, now of Vernon, her son Keith (Dell) of 140 Mile House, her daughters Judi and Paula (Rick) and Sherri (Bernie) of Vernon. Her brother Virgil and sister Marjorie in Ontario survive. Also, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Millie loved country life in their log home at 140 Mile, surrounded by the flowers she admired so much and entertaining family and friends who came to visit. For several winters Millie and Bill enjoyed living in warm Arizona. In later years their failing health prevented these yearly vacations and finally Millie and Bill had to leave their log home and move into care.
Millie chose to be cremated and placed in Vernon with her three sons who predeceased her, Bill Jr, Gregory and Paul.
