Michael (Mike) Miles MacKay,
February 1, 1941 of Abbotsford,
Formerly of Maple Ridge, passed away suddenly September 15, 2010. Predeceased by his son Michael, brothers James and Russell, sisters Kathy and Marjorie, mother Ruth and father Harold.
Leaves to mourn his passing, loving wife Lucy, daughters Kathie (Barry) Ward, Yvonne (Derek) Good and their mother Janet. Stepchildren Lori (Gord) Syms, Rob (Cynthia) Syms, Cheryl (Jacque) Syms. Grandchildren Carly (Chris), Kristie, Amanda, Jeffery, Taegan and Franki. Sister Inez (Ivan), brothers Kaye and Butch, several nieces and nephews and his faithful companions Winston and Oscar, whom he affectionately referred to as his boys.
Mike had a long career starting when he was 17 driving truck in both Canada and the U.S. He made many friends up and down the highway and was well respected among his fellow long haul truck drivers.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel (Osborn’s), 11969 - 216th Street,
Maple Ridge, B.C. at 2:00 pm. “Trucks Welcome.”
