Mertta Orvokki Nascou (nee Hayrynen)
July 29, 1929 - September 22, 2011
Mertta Nascou, born in Vancouver, BC, at peace on September 22, 2011. She was predeceased by Edward, her husband of 59 years, her infant daughter Susan and her parents Einar and Aune Hayrynen.
She will be missed and remembered with love by her daughter, Jane, sons Thomas (Janet) and Jonathan (Joann), grandchildren Eric, Alex, Kara (James) and Chaz, great-grandchildren Ayla, Kaiden and Easton, beloved sister Helen (Dave) and sister-in-law Shirley (Don).
Mertta’s family and friends are invited to a gathering October 7, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at the Coast Fraser Inn in Williams Lake. A special thanks to the staff at Williams Lake Seniors Village for their wonderful care of Mertta and Edward.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
