In loving memory of our Mother (1930-2022) ~
Margaret peacefully passed away in the presence of family on June 15th at the Williams Lake Seniors Village at the age of 92 .
She will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her husband Ken, daughters Maureen (André Giasson) and Patti (Alan Holdal) grandchildren Chloe (Cameron), Angie (Ben), her brother John ( Betty), sister Mimi, sister-in-law Valerie (Gordon) her nieces and nephew.
Honey, as she was affectionately known to her family, was predeceased by her adoring husband Ken just 8 months previously, son Matthew, & brother David.
Born to John and Margaret Pearson in Vancouver, BC. Honey's family returned to England when she was 3 years old. The family lived in Exeter, Devon and experienced the turmoil of World War II. Her father John was deployed to the Middle East and he safely returned home 5 years later.
In 1952 the family relocated back to Vancouver, where Honey met her future husband Ken at a party celebrating his return from Korea with the Royal Canadian Navy.
She became a devoted navy wife and mother enduring many absences and moves across the country. Ken retired from the RCN and they settled in Oak Bay where they enjoyed a long retirement.
Special thanks to the team at WLSV and Dr. Fedor along with the many healthcare professionals who tended to Margaret the last number of years. We are so grateful for her care.
Cremation was followed with interment at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Victoria.
A celebration of life is to be held in the spring.
