In loving memory ~

"A Hell of a Nice Guy"

With great sadness, we share the loss of Lorne Thomas Marshall who passed away peacefully January 29th 2025 with family and his Ann by his side. Lorne leaves behind many who will miss him dearly, especially his beloved Children Brian (Yuriko), Angela (Corey) and Erica (Wes) and his cherished Grandchildren Sean, Liam, Julian, Logan, Georgia, Lyric, Will and Lauren to whom he was the Legendary Grandpa Santa.

Lorne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is pre-deceased by his Parents Bernice and Don Bulloch, Wilbur (Mandy) Marshall, and Brothers Harvey and Mike. He is survived and missed by his Brothers Steve and Rob and favorite Sister Cheryl. Lorne loved spending time with family, especially on the many Shuswap Houseboat trips that brought everyone together.

Lorne's adolescent years were spent in Webster's Corners, shaped by his time at the Vernon Army Cadet Camp with his lifelong Best Friend Roger Lambert, swimming in Kanaka Creek, playing Liars Dice with his buddies and working for Stan & Betty Lilley who became lifelong friends. Lorne's great passion was cars, always taking any opportunity to get in a vehicle and drive. He was especially proud of his 69 Mustang Boss 302 and enjoyed some of his happiest years in Campbell River at Strathcona Toyota and racing his 68 Mustang GT and hand built Suzuki 4X4 at various racetracks around Canada.

Lorne worked at Weldwood/West Fraser for many years as well as Canadian Tire after relocating to Williams Lake. After retirement he enjoyed attending all things Grandchild related, driving to monthly reunion lunches with his Garibaldi High School pals and became a proud member of the Williams Lake Men's Shed, donating the use of his shop to help the group grow.

A Memorial BBQ to Celebrate Lorne will be hosted by his family on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the Black Creek Community Hall on Vancouver Island. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Lorne's name to the Williams Lake Men's Shed or consider joining or supporting the local Men's Shed in your Community.

The Family would like to thank the Peritoneal Dialysis Team, ICU Staff, 7-North Staff and Dr. Jeffrey Grab at Royal Inland Hospital as well as the Williams Lake Seniors Village, Deni House, Nurse Next Door and Cariboo Memorial Hospital Staff for their care of Lorne and appreciation of his sense of humor.

Goodbye to our very favorite Dad and Grandpa Santa in the whole wide world. We promise to continue the Christmas Eve Prime Rib Tradition and keep the Liars Dice rolling in your honor.
