Linda Christine Gullickson passed away on July the 13th 2021. She was 79 years old . Mom had struggled with Parkinson's as well as dementia. She was an extremely strong woman, always my hero! Mom was born in England. She was adopted by Ted and Gladys Tucker. She lived in Lake Erroch for her younger years.
She met my father, John Warkentin in Chilliwack while working for a doctor and family. They fell in love, married and had myself Deborah Lynn and my brother Darrell John Warkentin. Mom was an extremely dedicated, committed and loving woman, wife and mother. We lived in Chilliwack BC.
Our family had then relocated to North Vancouver BC. Mom worked extensively with retail and in her later years she dedicated much of her career to banking. She worked for a number of years with the TD Bank. My mom and dad relocated to Williams Lake in 1992. Mom and dad were later divorced in Williams Lake. Mom and dad each found loving partners. Due to an extremely tragic work related accident mom lost her partner in 2003. My father lost his partner in 2008.
Life presented itself in a "full circle " for my mom and dad. As my Mom's Parkinson's worsened my dad was always there for her. My mom never drove. Dad was there to help mom with her errands, household tasks etc .
"Our family unit" remained loving and respectful. Mom enjoyed cooking, working, her family, friends and laughter. Moms "great love" for Elvis was infinite . Elvis music and memorabilia was always a large part of our lives.
Mom also loved the outdoors. She was a gracious, passionate and optimistic woman. She had the most beautiful smile. Mom was loved beyond words and will be missed tremendously. Due to the world that we all currently live in today with COVID challenges, a private family service will be held. I am asking/encouraging all that knew and loved my mom to "have a Coors Light while listening to Elvis" as a tribute to her.
She will be smiling down on you all! Linda is survived by her two loving children, Deborah Lynn and Darrell John.
