January 28, 1946 - October 15, 2020
Leonard Joseph Lamothe, born January 28, 1946, passed away on October 15, 2020 from a short battle with cancer. He was 74 years old.
He leaves behind his wife of 38 years Wendy, his son Derek (Shelley), his daughter Cindy (Morgan) and his grandchildren, Kaiden, Kylie, Konner and Rhaelle, his sister Diane (Richard) and his nephew Kelly (Kim). Len was predeceased by his father, Larry and his mother Lucette.
Len moved his family from Williams Lake to Nimpo Lake in 1987. He quickly became very involved in the local community. He loved to sponsor local kids in the Anahim Lake Stampede, Nimpo Lake Canoe Races and other adventures. He spent his early years racing stock cars, and then turned to racing snowmobiles once he moved to Nimpo Lake. He enjoyed watching hockey and Nascar.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2021, pending Covid restrictions. He will be missed by many friends, family and community members. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to the Deni House in Williams Lake.
