Kulwarn Singh Manhas

Kulwarn Singh Manhas, 66, passed away November 10, 2022. He was the third child born on September 8, 1956, to Roshan and Kishan Manhas in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India.
Kulwarn moved to Williams Lake, BC with his family in 1973 at the age of 17. He quickly became a fan of North American sports and enjoyed watching hockey, basketball, and baseball. In particular, he was a big fan of Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Bulls, and Toronto Blue Jays. His favourite basketball player was Michael Jordan.
Physical fitness was important to Kulwarn and he spent much of his time in the gym in his earlier years, and going for long walks in his recent years.
Kulwarn worked in the sawmill and retired from Tolko Industries Ltd Soda Creek in 2021.Kulwarn worked in the industry for 48 years. He was known for his hard work and dedication.
After retirement, he moved to Vancouver with his wife to be closer to his kids.
Kulwarn was also known for his friendly and laid back persona, and his sense of humour. Regardless of the situation, Kulwarn would be able to joke around and get a good laugh from those around him. He had a contagious grin that stretched from ear to ear, and often ended his joke with his signature phrase "You betcha!".
Kulwarn got married in 1983 to his wife Manjit Manhas. He is survived by his wife, Manjit, and three children, Kiren, Rajbir, and Onkar. He recently welcomed his first grandchild, Maddox, in May 2022.
He would never admit it, but he also loved his daily cuddles with the family's french bulldog, Bron. Kulwarn enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family, and without a doubt, everything Kulwarn did in his life was for his kids and wife.
Although Kulwarn is no longer physically with us, his spirit and memories will live on.
