Kehar Parmar

S. Kehar Singh Parmar passed away April 15, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. in Williams Lake.

Mr. Parmar, who turned 60 on April 8, was playing cards at the Seniors’ Activity Centre when he suffered a fatal heart attack.

Born April 8, 1944 in the village of Baddon (Hoshiarpur), India, Mr. Parmar had been living in Canada since February, 2001.

Mr. and Mrs. Parmar and their daughter came to Canada to join their son Harminder in Williams Lake.

In India, Mr. Parmar had been employed for 35 years at the BCM Chemical and Fertilizer Factory in Kota, Rajsthan. Since coming to Canada he was employed seasonally on farms.

Mr. Parmar leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Kamaljit Kaur Parmar; son Harminder Singh Parmar and daughter-in-law Roop (nee Rathor) Parmar and their daughters Priya and Riya Parmar.

He will also be missed by his daughter Rupender Kaur Dodd and son-in-law Awtar Singh Doad; and five brothers and their families living in the Vancouver area and in India.

The cremation ceremony will be held this Saturday, April 24 at 12 p.m. at the Five Rivers Crematorium on Second Avenue in Williams Lake. A service will follow at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple on MacKenzie Avenue at 1 p.m.
