In Loving Memory ~

It is with deep regret that we announce that Karl (Dad & Papa) passed peacefully, surrounded by his family after a short but courageous battle following a second cancer diagnosis.

Dad built a good life and was proud of many things, his family, his accomplishments, and his business career in construction which spanned many decades where he installed miles of water/sewer pipe, developed subdivisions and built roads in Williams Lake.

Karl was a founding member of the Williams Lake Stock Car Track and the Stampeders hockey team, he built the racetrack at the Stampede grounds and helped bring horse racing to the Williams Lake Stampede, he built the Men's Fastball Diamond that was beside the curling rink, played men's soccer for many years and coached minor hockey. Karl was a Chairman of the Board for School District #27, and a President of the Kiwanis Club.

Karl was a private pilot, an avid snowmobiler, race car driver and during his time living on Pablo Creek Ranch he bred and raised thoroughbred racehorses and quarter horses for show. Karl also ran a head of cattle every year, his last herd just having gone through the local cattle sale. There wasn't much he didn't try and few things he didn't excel at.

Karl is survived by his wife Reta of 61 years, his children, daughter Kari and his son Trevor, grandchildren Brittany and Ryley Seibert, Matt (Ryleigh) and Justin Gertzen and his precious great granddaughter Halston Gertzen. His brothers Sieg (Chris) Seibert, Al (Adele) Seibert and brother-in-law Butch (Claudia) Rife. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Karl was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ninette and Hilmer Wolf, his brother Fred and Hulda Seibert, his brother Hans and Heide Seibert and sister-in-law Blanche Rife, along with 4 nephews Armin, Thomas, Kirk and Ekkehard.

A celebration of life to be held November 2, 2024, at the Gibraltar Room in Williams Lake from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Cariboo Hospital Foundation.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Paul Magnuson, Dr. Miller and the nurses and support staff at Palliative Home Support for your amazing support and care during Karl's illness.
