Karel - our dad, brother, uncle, and friend - sadly and suddenly passed away on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018.
He is survived by his kids Anneke, Kyle, and Brianna, and their mother Denise, as well as his siblings Patricia, Peter, and Ron, and their families. Many nieces, nephews, and friends in Holland, his homeland. Also, many friends on Vancouver Island and Ontario.
He has been greeted now by his parents, Bep and Nol, his brother Steve, his sister Marjo, his dear friend Lynn, and many others who love him as much as we do.
Karel was a kid at heart: he loved to play and be silly whenever possible. He also had a good heart. He would help anyone that needed it at a moment's notice, and was a man of his word. He was a great father: he loved his kids, and was there for them as much as he could. His actions spoke louder than his words, until the end. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his kindness, and his strength.
There will be a memorial service held at Boitanio Park in Williams Lake, BC, in the rose garden, on Sunday, April 29th at 2 pm.
Refreshments and snacks provided. Karel was a simple man, and would want nothing more than the company of friends and family.
