In loving memory of my Mom, June Carter, who passed away November 27,2024 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
June was born in New Westminster, June 27,1940 to parents who had immigrated from Norway and Sweden. Mom was very passionate about her roots and cared deeply for all her family!
Mom loved sharing her memories of life in Haney, Blackwater, Hazelton and Williams Lake. Mom and partner Edith opened the first Delicatessen in Williams Lake in 1971. In the 80's working at Antiques & Things, Mom shared beautiful furniture with many wonderful people.
June was predeceased by husband Harold, son Greg, parents Arne and Sigrid, brother George, sisters Vivian and Lorraine, along with their spouses and family members.
June is survived by daughter Brenda (Brad) Holmes, grandsons Parker and Corby and Brandon Stewart. Sisters Lynda (Barry) Bodell, Sandy (Bob) Stewart and their families. She is lovingly remembered by a large extended family and friends in B.C and Nova Scotia.
Mom will be missed by her special friend Henry Bast.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported Mom and our family with their kind words and care.
A family picnic will be held in the summer 2025.
