1926-2021 ~ Julie Turk peacefully passed away August 21, 2021, in her Edmonton family home. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter Lena and two grandsons, Lory, and Warren.
Julie was 95 years of age and was the last to pass of her five siblings.
In 1926 Julie was born in the northern community of Wabasca AB and spend her earliest childhood in the Wabasca Mission. She was a very gentle soul, young at heart to have taken on such an arduous journey. Yet she never complained. She simply persevered and shared her great sense of humour right to the end.
Her and her late husband Henry met in Slave Lake, both employed in the lumber industry; eventually employment with West Fraser brought them to Williams Lake and settled in their quaint home.
Julie is survived by her son Charlie, daughter Frances, son-in-law Michael, many grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. Her kind and quiet, undemanding presence is missed by all.
We're left with many fond memories of her, her beautiful quilts, knitting, crochet stitch work and native crafts, will be forever cherished.
She is very deeply missed.
