John Silovich September 16, 1934 - August 8, 2011


John Silovich of Williams Lake, BC passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the age of 76. John was born in Copper Mountain, BC on September 16, 1934. He was the youngest of four children born to Mike and Vi Silovich and husband of Helen Silovich (nee Zatkovich). John was an avid fisherman, hunter and hockey enthusiast. He was a natural athlete talented in hockey, curling and baseball. He worked mainly in the construction and mining industry and later became owner/operator of Crimson Charters Bus lines in Williams Lake and Wagner Appliances in Kamloops. John lived in Princeton, Williams Lake and Kamloops before finally settling back

in Williams Lake in 2001.

John is survived by his wife, Helen, of 55 years and will be fondly remembered by his four daughters and their spouses, Sherree and Rob Shelest of Williams Lake, Laura Grainger of Salmon Arm, Leanne and Bill St. Onge of Timmins, Ontario and Tracy and Mike Skakun of Williams Lake, as well as his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Mike, mother Vi, sister Mary and brother George. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Compassionate Care Funeral Home, 180 Comer Street, Williams Lake, BC.
