Feb 7, 1930 - Dec 7, 2017
Joan and her husband Ed owned Bourdon Insurance Agency before moving on to farming and making furniture as owners of the Cariboo Wood Shop at MacAlister.

She was an accomplished seamstress, was a member of the Lyne Creek WI, and volunteered her time at the Quesnel Museum and as a Hospital Auxiliary member at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and nana. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Joan's husband Ed predeceased her in 2010.

She is survived by sons Grant (Patti), Kevin (Brenda) and daughter Jody (Al) Plant, grandchildren Danny, Greg, Bryan, Eddy, Geoff, Jackie and Jamie and six great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who knew her as she was a very special lady.

Our family would like to send a very big thank you to Dr. Engelbrecht and the 2nd fioor nursing staff for the warmth and caring support given to our Mom during her stay at the hospital.

A private family service and spreading of ashes will occur in the spring.

If you would like to donate in memory she would have appreciated the SPCA or Hospice as recipients.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
