Jim Veninga
1942 - 2011
Jim Veninga passed away with his family by his side at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital on August 9, 2011. He was born in 1942 in the Netherlands (Friesland) and moved to Ontario with his family in 1951. In 1966 Jim and his wife Elske Veninga (nee Teppema) moved to BC. Jim is survived by his wife Elske, son Albert (Kathy), daughter Teresa (Mallory) Mack, two grandsons Kennedy and Cody Mack, sisters and brothers Sylvia & Peter Hettinga, Jhon & Hessie Veninga, Vickie Mulder, Tina & Bill Atsma and Frank Veninga from Ontario. He was predeceased by Albert. He was known as “Horsefly Elvis” and sang Elvis songs at weddings, etc.
