June 13, 1956 - March 21, 2019
Jennifer Marie Dakin was born June 13th 1956 in England. She spent her childhood raised with her sister in Toronto, Ontario.

Jenny moved out west in the 1970's and settled in Victoria BC where she attended UVic,majoring in psychology and biology. Being inspired by her love of animals, she spent a couple of years in Calgary working as a docent at the Calgary Zoo, returning eventually to her home and family in Victoria.

In the early 90's she relocated to the Williams Lake area in support of her partner Brent Wilson, whose work as a roofer & sider had brought him to the BC interior.

Jenny's love of nature encouraged her to spend time in her canoe on Big Lake, catching trout and bird watching. She also enjoyed pouring over books & tapes at the Big Lake library, while being helped on computers by her librarian friend Esther.

Jenny's love of animals naturally resulted in acquiring many pets over the years; namely dogs & cats, a couple of large turtles, an iguana, as well as rescuing a couple of wounded crows that she lovingly nursed back to health.

Sadly, Jenny died at the age of 62 on March 21st 2019 at Cariboo Hospital in Williams Lake, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving mate Brent, her sister Annette, and her loyal dog Sookie.

Donations and charitable gifts may be made to the Cariboo Hospital Hospice "Deni House", as thanks for the kindness and genuine care shown by the staff to her in her final days.

Goodbye Jenny. We'll miss you.
