Jean Lily Bowles passed away in Penticton BC on Friday Nov. 24, 2017.  She was 78 years old.

Jean was the middle child of 3 siblings; she was born on March 9, 1939 in New Westminster BC. In 1956 Jean married her husband of 50 years; Lyman Bowles. They raised 3 children while living in Surrey and moved to Williams Lake in 1977 where they resided before retiring in Princeton BC in 2003.

Jean always honored our military service men and women by serving the local Legion Branch where she resided. She held varying positions at Whalley Legion Branch No. 229, Williams Lake Legion Branch No. 139, and Princeton Legion Branch No.56. 

Mom will be sorely missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her 3 children. Daughter Bernadine Franchuk, sons David (Cheryl) Bowles, and Dan (Dee) Bowles. 6 grandchildren; Jen (Eli), Tom (Lindsey), Sarah (Brad), Chantelle, Cody (Jo), and Kailey (Anthony). 7 great grandchildren; Nirvana, Logan, Knox, Delilah, Nash, Ramsay, and Aiden.

Her companion for the last 8 years, Wayne Cummings, brother Harry Holm, sister May Furlan, sister in-law Jean Winquist, brother in-law Bob Richardson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by her parents Leata and Hilding (Gus) Holm and her husband Lyman.

A celebration of Jeans life will be held at the Princeton Legion Hall Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm. No flowers please.
