Janet Catharine Margetts

Janet Catharine Margetts passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022 with her family by her side.
Jan was born in Trail, BC on September 21, 1951 to the late Jack and Edith Turner. The family moved to Quesnel where Jan made many lifelong friends. Jan met the love of her life Bill Margetts in 1974. They married in 1975 and resided in Williams Lake. They welcomed their first daughter Leslea in 1976 and Allison in 1980. Her daughters were her greatest joys in life.
Jan started her nursing career at GR Baker hospital in Quesnel and then at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake until she found her true calling in life and became a teachers assistant for 25 years. She treated all her special students like they were her own.
Jan loved their life living at Chimney Lake. She enjoyed camping, a round of golf, playing games, traveling, loved animals and spending time with her family and friends. Her vibrant personality and sense of humour made everyone want to be around her. Jan's life was forever changed in 2008 when her precious granddaughter Payton was born.
Sadly Jan was predeceased by her daughter Allison in 1997. We are at peace knowing she's with her beautiful angel now.
Jan will be missed immensely by her husband Bill of 47 years, her daughter Leslea, her favourite son-in-law Duane and granddaughter Payton.
Jan is survived by her brothers Pat(Melinda), Michael(Barb), sister Deanna(Gary). She will be missed by all her sister and bother in laws, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Age Care for taking wonderful care of Jan.
A service will be held on Friday August 26th at 11:00 am at St. Andrews United Church with a tea to follow.
