It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Jim Wright on June 6,2022 at Deni House in Williams Lake, BC.
Jim was born on February 14, 1948 in Glenboro, MB and was raised in Kilarney, MB. In June of 1966 Jim moved with his family to Oliver, BC. In 1971 he moved to Williams Lake where he hauled mobile homes for Hamel Trailer Sales. After starting a family and wanting to be closer to home. He started hauling logs for E.H. Burrows. The company switch to Mitchell bay and then to Eldorado Logging where he worked until retiring in 2012.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years (just days short of their 50th Anniversary) Dorothy, 3 children Ken (Christine), Christine (Mica) and Lori (Jamie). 5 Grandchildren Zachary (Barbara), Eric (Lilly), Alex, Kendra and Jessilyn. 3 Great Granddaughters Aurora, Hikaru and Keira.
He also leaves behind 7 brothers and sisters Alice, Gordon (Marlene), Bruce, Audrey, Ed (Norma), Beverly (Grant) and Norman (Julie). Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his Father John Wright and Mother Donna Wright-Wallis. Father and Mother-in-law Kenneth and Jacoba Funnell. Brother Donny. Nephew Matthew and Niece Vanessa.
Jim was a kind hearted soul that always put family first and would give you the shirt off his back to help you. He loved camping and fishing out at his secret lake. He loved his yearly trips to Jasper, AB to get chased by elk. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Rest in peace and watch over all of us.
The family would like to thank the staff at Deni House for your compassion and taking care of Jim for the past 71/2 years.
As requested no service will be held. There will be a family gathering to spread his ashes at his favourite lake.
