James Donald Redekopp

In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that the family of James (Jim) Redekopp announces his passing on October 19, 2022 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his son, Michael Redekopp (Kim), his sister Julie St. Andrassy (John), his brother Irvin Redekopp (Donna), his best friend/son Marvin Bartley (Laurie), his nieces and nephews. He gained many friends through his long career in the logging and sawmill and ranching industry. He held his friends close to his heart and was grateful for having them in his life, and in particular, his long-time friend/Amigo, Bryan Reid Senior.
Jim was predeceased by his daughter, Katherine Redekopp, his wife JoAnne, his adopted son, Darren, his wife Brenda, his father Henry Redekopp, his mother Katherine Redekopp (Olfert), his sister Marion Klugh and his brother Raymond Redekopp.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital and the Seniors Village for their support and amazing care for Jim over the past year. We would also like to thank Marvin and Laurie Bartley for their tireless support ensuring Jim's everyday needs were met when we were unable to be there, and for this we will forever be grateful for their love and support. We would also like to thank Nancy Stracken for her commitment to take Jim's beloved dog, Henry, with loving care for the rest of his life.
In honouring Jim's wishes, there will be a small celebration of life held at the gravesite a the Micocene Community Cemetery on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Rest peacefully and remember that you are always loved and will be sorely missed.
