It is with the heaviest of hearts that our family announces the passing of Irene Jeanette Levesque. Mom battled complications of heart disease for the last three years and though she put up an admirable fight and wore the bravest of faces, we are relieved she is in a more comfortable and peaceful place.

Predeceased by her husband Martin in 2008, their love and companionship will live in the hearts of many for years to come. Unique as a couple can be, their love for the game of golf allowed many to observe “what love can be”.

A true mother bear Mom had a no nonsense, tell it like it is personality and fiercely defended her family and domain. She also had an ability to find a laugh in any situation. Through the later stages of her illness our mother taught us the value of humour, the honour of pride and of course the meaning of courage.

Irene is survived by sons Wayne, Dale and Brian, grandchildren Ryan, Gauge, Reece, Lane and Bryn.

A Celebration of Life will be held graveside at the Williams Lake Cemetery at 10:00 am on June 21, 2016. Refreshments and snacks will follow.
