It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harvey Frederick Tiefensee at midnight on February 14th at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops at the age of 65 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Aleta; his daughter Krista (Guy) of Anahim Lake, BC, grandson Wyatt and granddaughter Amanda; his son Paul (Carolyn) of Prince George, BC and grandsons Evan and Liam. Also left to cherish his memory are his two sisters Marian (Larry) and Diane (Joanne) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Harvey was predeceased by his loving parents, mother Marjorie and father Frederick.

Harvey always referred to himself as a “Happy, Lucky Man”. His commitment to his family and friends demonstrated the values that he lived by: honesty, integrity, dedication and above all...love and pride in his family - his wife of 42 years, his children, grandchildren, sisters, aunts, uncles, in-laws, friends and “23 first cousins” brought joy to his life. He was always the voice of reason and committed to making the best of any situation. Harvey’s unique sense of humour, positive attitude, energy, and guidance set an example for all of those who shared his time and made all of our lives richer. His gentle soul and kind heart touched the lives of many and will be celebrated and remembered at his Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 1:00 pm in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Parish Hall, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops.

We wish to thank the nurses in Kelowna and Kamloops, RIH 7th Floor and Dr. du Preez and Dr. Rolf for their special kindness and support.

Please make any donations you wish to the Salvation Army, 344 Poplar Street, Kamloops, BC V2B 4B8 in memory of Harvey.
