Harold Engstrom

Harold Engstrom passed away in Deni House, July 7, 2006 with his wife and family by his side.

Harold was born in Seattle, Washington, April 14, 1914. In his younger days he owned a 200-head cattle ranch near Oroville, Washington.

In 1954 he moved the family to Williams Lake where he bought the Herbert Lodge, changing the name to the Valley View Motel.

After selling the business he went into carpentry work building a few homes, the present day hospital and other large buildings in town.

He then went into heavy construction working on all the major power dams in British Columbia.

He enjoyed good health his whole life and was proud of his youthful appearance.

He is survived by his loving wife, Edna, sons Fred and Rodney, two sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many lifelong friends.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, brother George and nephew Jaret.

There will be no service by request.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice.
