Gwendolyn Bernice Austin (Mic) was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on May 1, 2023, at age 98.
She was born to John and Elizabeth McMichan on December 1, 1924. After leaving her Ontario home she joined the services where she met her husband, Lloyd Austin. Together, they had 4 children: Frances, Linda, Cindy, and Nina. Mic loved gardening and the outdoors. She helped establish the Oasis in McLeese Lake and drove school buses for many years, many of her students knew her as Granny.
Mic is predeceased by her husband Lloyd, younger brother George, oldest daughter Frances and son-in-law Keith.
Mom leaves behind her other daughters and spouses, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. No service by request.
