On Friday, April 13, 2018, Gordon William Mackenzie of Oliver passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Olive Mackenzie.
Loved and remembered by spouse, Linda Mackenzie; his daughter, Dalerie (Colin) Felstad and children Aaron & Evan: his son, Grant (Maria) Mackenzie and children Katelyn & Kylie; siblings, Myrtle Andersen, Shirley (Mervyn) Furlong, Kenneth (Brenda) Mackenzie & Cathryn (Tom) Hill.
A well-respected Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Gordon graduated in 1969 from the first graduating class of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. He established the Williams Lake Veterinary Hospital where he practiced for a number of years before relocating to the South Okanagan. He established the Oliver Veterinary Hospital, where he practiced until his retirement.
Gordon loved to build things, was an avid horseman and outdoorsman. He was a member of the B.C. Rodeo Association and studied the Art of Western Dressage under the tutelage of the late Roy Yates.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at 4:30 pm. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Fairview Mtn Golf Course.
