Gordon Richard “Bones” Felker

December 2, 1940 - August 6, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gord, after a battle with leukemia, in Nanaimo, BC.

Gord will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Pat, of 48 years, daughters Trina & Dede (Mark), grandchildren Rachelle, Eric, Mark Jr. and Amanda, four brothers and their wives, mother-in-law Marg Margetts, three brothers-in-law and their wives, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Gord was born in Williams Lake and raised at 134 Mile House. He was a volunteer fireman, avid baseball player and curler. Later Gord moved his family to Nanaimo where he continued his baseball, curling, golfing, fishing, yearly trips moose hunting and Arizona vacations.

Gord will be remembered by his love of sports, pitching ball, golf clubs, crosswords, keno, slots, his dry sense of humour, warm eyes and kind ways.

The family sends Special Thanks to Dr. Reems, Dr. Denegri & Dr. Galloway, the Nanaimo General Hospital medical daycare staff and his home care nurses.

A Celebration of Gord’s life will be held in Nanaimo on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 2-6 pm at the Legion Branch 256, 1630 East Wellington Road.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chimney Lake Golf Course & Firehall in the Summer of 2012.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks the donations be made to Canadian Blood Services by way of blood donation or otherwise.
