May 20, 1937 - October 11, 2023

In loving memory ~

Glenn Hanson of Williams Lake, BC, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 11, 2023, in the Cariboo Memorial Hospital. Glenn was a devoted and loving husband for 53 years to Jeannette (Jan) Hanson and their children. He loved his family deeply and was a proud father and grandfather.

Glenn was born in Edmonton, Alberta, on May 20, 1937. He was a hard worker, and his career was diverse, from logging camps to hospitals and sales. Glenn did everything with his whole heart. After marrying Jeannette "Jan" Rader in 1971, he spent many years as a Pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist church and ministered all over BC before settling in Williams Lake in 1989. Glenn dedicated his life to serving others and truly lived his life as he believed. He took pride in his work and in his ability to help out, and even to his last day he was concerned for others and for the work that needed to be done.

Glenn was a fun-loving man, always quick with a joke or quip, and was always on the go. He believed that everyone should make the most of every minute and he truly did in his own life. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There will be a Celebration of Life for both Glenn and his wife Jan, who predeceased him in September, on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cariboo Central Seventh-day Adventist Church on Woodland Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) or your local food bank.
