Gil and his wife Sandra moved to Williams Lake in 1973. After 34 years in the accounting profession Gil and Sandra moved to New Westminster to spend their retirement years.
During his time in Williams Lake Gil was kept busy as a hockey and soccer parent and for many years served voluntarily as the Treasurer of the Williams Lake Golf Club and member of Kiwanis.
Gil will be remembered for his sense of humour and his passion for golf. He was always happy to set aside his accounting duties and engage in conversation about politics, sports, and anything other than accounting.
Gil was predeceased by Sandra in September 2014. During the following years, he was well cared for by the wonderful staff at Willingdon Care Centre in Burnaby. He had a special place in his heart for staff member Leo who kept him smiling every day.
He leaves behind his sons Chris and Craig, siblings Lorraine and Larry, and brother-in-law Peter.
