Gilbert King McCall, 83, died July 29, 2019, at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 3rd, at 2 pm at St. Andrew's United Church.
Gil was born February 16, 1936, in Rocky Rapids, AB, the youngest child of Gilbert and Mary. He married Adelaide Williams January 15, 1960, in Quesnel, BC. Together, they raised 3 children: Lennie, Lezlie, and Scott.
Throughout the majority of his career in radio, he was well-known in the Cariboo region as an entertaining and civic-minded announcer. He was a friend to all.
Gil is survived by his wife, Marjorie, his children, and his grandchildren, Jacali, Gilbert, and Jeremiah.
