Gerald was born January 31, 1945 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC to Herb and Randie Wotzke. He passed away February 19, 2018 in Williams Lake, BC with Sheila by his side.
He was raised on a small farm in the Williams Lake Creek Valley, where he enjoyed fishing and swimming. He met Sheila Doucette in 1963 and they were married on December 18, 1965. Gerald started his career as a saw filer at Lignums Sawmill. His career took him to many different locations throughout the province. One of his favourite locations was Prince Rupert where they took weekend trips ocean fishing. Gerald & Sheila were avid hunters. They also enjoyed building and remodelling all of their own homes.
After retiring Gerald & Sheila travelled extensively taking several cruises throughout the world and spent their winters in Arizona. They relocated back to Williams Lake in 2016 to be closer to family.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents Herb & Randie Wotzke, and sister & brother-in-law Audrey & Richard Rowland.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Sheila of 52 years, siblings; Ken (Gay) - North Vancouver, Karen Piffko - Williams Lake, Jim (Lou) - Williams Lake, Bonita (Bill) Goughnour - Kamloops, Jewel (Laurier) Carrier - Williams Lake, Dan - Vanderhoof; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
