It is with much love and great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Georgie Fairholm, at home with her daughters by her side.
Georgie is predeceased by her parents Mervyn and Ruth; brothers Ted and Malcolm; sister Olivia. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Ruth (Brett) and Rita (Rodney); grandchildren Amy, Aaron, Ashley, Adam, Matthew and Jessica; sister Joyce; brothers Brian and Hewett and their families.
Mom spent her life in BC and Alberta, returning in retirement to the Cowichan Valley to enjoy the company of her friends old and new. Mom loved people, and her career with the BC Liquor Distribution Branches in Duncan and Williams Lake was a joy that afforded her the opportunity to meet new friends.
Her family would like to thank the medical team ... her friends as she considered them ... Doctors M. Ibrahim, W. Pewarchuk, V. Masuda, S. Allen; the wonderful women on the CDH chemo wing; and the VIHA Home Support staff. We are grateful to have had you in her corner. We wish also to express a heartfelt “Thank you” to those closest to Mom: Joyce, Linda, Dian and Brett. Your friendship enriched our Mom’s life.
A celebration of her life will be held July 11, 2015 at 7997 Berridge St., Crofton, BC from 12 noon to 3:00 pm.
